"Heart of it All"

This buckeye tree is aflame with red leaves that glow in the sunlight as its branches stretch up to the autumn sky. The limbs reach out contrasting against the fiery foliage, looking very much like coronary vessels. The title plays upon this and the state slogan of Ohio, "The Heart Of It All", while reminding us of our connection to nature, especially trees. Strength coupled with fragility, human lives are interconnected as they branch out and intertwine with each other, reaching skyward yet sharing deep roots.

The original is available for purchase as well as prints in various sizes and substrate reproductions. 

This listing is for an 8" x 10" archival, metallic print. This paper makes the vivid colors pop off of the surface. The print is matted with an 11" x 14" soft white, archival mat and backing.

This week we sat down with Toni from Toni Tiger415 and got to know her and her shop.

Can you tell us a little about yourself and what you create?

My name is Toni. My Etsy shop is full of original artwork as well as prints, photography, digital downloads, greeting cards and calendars

How did you come about wanting to open a shop on Etsy?

I was always creating art and a few people told me that I should try and sell it ( I had notebooks full of drawings and paintings everywhere). So I figured I would give it a shot :)

What do you like to do in your free time when you are not working on your Etsy shop? Well I do a lot of art in my spare time. So that may count as working on my shop? But I love doing it when I have the tme. I also watch a lot of movies and of course hanging out with my family, friends and Fiance.

What is your most popular product you sell? Sometimes I sell lots of prints, other times a lot of original day of the dead pieces. 

How long have you been practicing your craft or art? I have been doing art since I was a kid. I took art classes in high school and just continued it after that.

Meet Toni: Our BNS Leader

Hi, my name is Toni and I live in Pennsylvania. I have been drawing ever since I was a kid. I used to love drawing Disney characters! After high school though, I stopped doing as much art, but picked it back up a few years later. I decided to open my Etsy shop up after a few people told me that I should try selling my artwork. So I continued to paint and fill up tons of drawing books, adding some of them to my Etsy shop as I went. I draw inspiration from trees, day of the dead art, animals, and so much more! My shop is filled with bright, colorful pieces.

When I'm not on Etsy or creating new pieces of art, I love reading, watching movies (horror movies are my favorite), going on road trips, and of course, spending times with my fiancé, friends, and family.
