This week we sat down with Dawn from Dawn Frost Designs and got to know her and her shop.

Can you tell us a little about yourself and what you create?
Right now I am in the middle of moving from Williamsburg to Charlottesville, Virginia. I live with my Boxer dog Tigger and I love to create cards for all occasions, scrapbook pages, and cross stitch gifts such as book marks and ornaments.

How did you come about wanting to open a shop on Etsy? When I would go to scrapbooking events, everyone would tell me I should start a shop and sell my pages. I guess hearing that enough times it stuck in my head and started my Etsy shop with one scrapbook page and one card. Now I have over 130 items in my shop and am starting to have a repeat

customer base, which I love!

What do you like to do in your free time when your not working on your Etsy shop? I love the read, and spend time with my boyfriend and dog. We take a lot of day trips on the weekends to small towns near our home.

What is your most popular product you sell?
My greeting cards are definitely the most popular item.

How long have you been practicing your craft or art?
I started cross stitching when I was 8 and I have been paper crafting since I was in college.

Meet Dawn: Our Team Membership Leader

My name is Dawn Muir-Frost and I am an avid crafter. I am an architectural historian by day and a crafter at night and basically in any free time I have. I have been cross stitching and creating paper crafts since I was eight. I started by teaching myself how to cross stitch and found that I really enjoyed the peace cross stitching brought and I especially loved the thrill of finishing a piece. I soon found however that there is only so much space in my home for cross stitched designs and I decided to share my designs with others. After I graduated from college, I continued to cross stitch but also decided to try my hand at scrapbooking. Once I started, I was hooked. And so, here I am on Etsy with a shop full of scrapbook pages and cross stitch designs. When I am not crafting, I love spending time with my boyfriend and my dog Tigger, a very excitable boxer. We love watching football in the fall, and as you can see from my photo we love rooting for our favorite football team.
