These coasters are made in stages. They begin as clay (slip) and are cast into a mold and fired at high heat to form bisque. Then it is painted and decorated with paint and/or glaze, again to go through the kiln and fired a second time to a higher temp so the glaze will mature. It takes approximately another 24 hours to cool. 

*While in the kiln some of the speckles can pop and land in unexpected areas throughout the kiln. We call those happy-accidents adding more proof that these are one of a kind and handmade.

*NOTE ABOUT OUR HANDMADE KNOBS: these knobs are handmade, not made in a factory so these will have handmade characteristics. Some of the designs we have to place small relief slits so that the paper design lays flat on the domed knob; we try to disguise the slits, but sometimes we just can’t with certain designs. Some of the designs might not be perfectly centered on knob as these are hand placed. To us this just adds the charm of what handmade items entail. Each knob has a pre-drilled hole but the holes are not pre-threaded so screw will seem snug at first but all the screws are the perfect size for the knobs. Best way to attach these is with a power drill with good pressure. The screw(s) that are included are 1.25" in length and will fit most cabinets. These screws may not be long enough for: furniture, closet doors, or drawers so you may have to adjust or purchase longer screws at your local hardware store. These knobs are fun with so many themes to choose from and we love that each knob is slightly different as it shows the work that we put into each one. We consider each knob to be a work of art created by SR Vintage and Designs. We put quality work into these knobs and that is why it can take up to 4 weeks to make your knob(s) and get it shipped to you. Any order larger than 30 knobs can take up to 4 to 6 weeks. You do however have the option of RUSH service for an extra fee and get your knobs shipped in 7-10 days. Banana Bread

Today I'm going to take a break from the team and give you a recipe I have made a couple of times. My husband has Loves it! He even asks for more once he finishes the loaf!

Banana Bread Recipe-

Ingredients-

2-3 very ripe bananas, peeled

1/3 cup melted butter

1 cup of sugar (can easily use 3/4 cup, or drop it down to 1/2 cup if you want it less sweet)

1 egg, beaten

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon baking soda

Pinch of salt

1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C), and butter a 4x8-inch loaf pan.

Step 2: In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.

Step 3: Mix in the baking soda and salt. Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Mix in the flour.

Step 4: Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 10 minutes (check at 50 minutes) at 350°F (175°C), or until a tester inserted into the center comes out clean.

Step 5: Remove from oven and cool completely on a rack. Remove the banana bread from the pan. Slice and serve. (A bread knife helps to make slices that aren't crumbly.)

Step 6: Enjoy!
